--------------------------------------------- WebPosition Recovery Instructions --------------------------------------------- You should backup your webpos2.lic file and this file (recover.txt) to a diskette. You should also backup your mission files if you do not want to re-create them later if you had to recover WebPosition. The backup option on the WebPosition File menu, or the prompt given after entering an unlock code, will do this for you. Instructions for restoring WebPosition Gold from your recovery disk: 1) Download the latest WPGOLDSETUP.EXE installation file from: http://www.webposition.com/wpgdownload.htm 2) Print out and follow the download instructions on the above page if you are new to the Internet. 3) Copy all the files on the recovery disk to your new WebPosition directory. By default, WebPosition will be installed to: c:\Program Files\WebPosition To copy files from recovery disk: 1) Simply go to Windows Explorer, enter A:\ or the letter of your diskette drive. 2) Then select both the files and the mission directory. 3) Select Edit and Copy. 4) Then type in the path to where WebPosition is installed. 5) Go to Edit, and Paste. This will restore your WebPosition license file, and any mission files that were backed up. The mission files will be in a sub-directory called "missions" by default if you chose to back those up originally. Note: Your mission files will only be as current as your last backup. Therefore, you may need to redo any changes since that time. Your old HTML reports will also not be restored. 6) If you fail to copy these files properly, then WebPosition will come up in TRIAL mode, rather than the fully licensed mode that you purchased. Try gain if this happens. If you are unable to recover WebPosition, e-mail support at: help@webposition.com This recovery system is designed to restore WebPosition only! You should still regularly backup your entire computer using a tape back up or other backup device so you don't lose other files.
